In August 2024, students from Sakado University of Tsukuba High School and Ehime University High School in Japan visited APP Group’s facilities in Riau, Indonesia. This program is part of an ongoing partnership designed to educate Japanese youth on sustainable practices within the forestry and pulp & paper industries.
During the visit, the students observed various production processes, from tree planting to papermaking, gaining direct exposure to APP Group’s sustainable operations. They also took part in tree-planting activities and explored the company’s social programs, which underscore APP Group’s commitment to environmental preservation and community support.
This annual initiative highlights APP Group’s dedication to promoting environmental education and raising sustainability awareness among young people. The collaboration with institutions like Sakado University and Ehime University supports Japan’s focus on responsible industrial practices and environmental education.
